NOTES: Unbelievably talented swing Yassmin Alers as Maureen here. (She's also played Mimi, sung the Seasons of Love solo, and chalked up every other women's ensemble role. I bet she's stepped up as Joanne at some point or another.) as usual, the visuals are kind of a wash (generation loss, washout, shot from far away), but the sound is worlds better than any audios in the Nederlander for a long, long time. I very much recommend this video for the audio track alone---great to hear the OBC with very different takes on the lines from the official recording, and an occasional changed-up lyric (not flubbed).

NOTES: So, you know that one video whose standard description is, "If you're a fan of the show, it's still an interesting video to have"? Sound quality here is still better than most RENT audios of the time, but the master's ability to see the action beyond heads is limited, and there are significant periods of blackout. Includes part of Rent through T4U, Another Day through part of ICY, and part of OTM through LVB-A. It seems like a couple of the cast members are off their game, but that's not really fair given how little of the show is here.

NOTES: Okay, yeah, the video isn't as good as it deserves to be, given the master's A+ skill. (2001+heads whose owners would not. stop. moving.) But it's reasonable, the sound is excellent, and the cast is fantastic! Yassmin Alers is such a good Mimi. Definitely recommended!

NOTES: A *very* nice video, quality and cast-wise. Joey Fatone does overact a little (although he's actually quite funny), but for a non-Bway "celebrity guest" he definitely outdid my expectations.

NOTES: Video quality is surprisingly (to me) decent! Audio is fantastic; some great performers although others struggle. Andy Señor, Jr. brings such a beautiful sweetness to Angel.

NOTES: This one is "all right," all-around. Quality is decent, but spotlight washout and heads in wider shots. The cast sounds like they're giving it everything they've got, and can't understand why it's not quite what it should amount to. There are what should be some amazing performances here, in fact, but something just doesn't quite work.

NOTES: Excellent, sharp video and sound. There's an unfortunate head and arm that blocks a lot of action on stage right--the Nederlander's mezzanine/balcony seems like a particularly tough place for a capture. Still worth it for the great cast, though, and otherwise the visual quality is great! Why is there not more cheering at the "To marijuana" line?

Mine is the cleaned up, full-color, full-show, filmed close-in version with TV clips included.] Final performance for the Angel Tour, and the cast and audience are both giving it everything. Heavy generation loss on the visuals, but excellent capture and sound! This video is so completely worth it for the performance itself, plus the energy in that theatre.

I love this one.

Sound quality is excellent. What a great cast this was.
