NOTES: Excellent quality sound and video! Aaron seems comfortable and the audience obviously had a great time. The song selection is almost all medleys of great songs, but in a most frustrating form---I want to hear Aaron Tveit sing all of Thunder Road, not a couple of bars...

MASTER’S NOTES: Beautifully captured concert of Adam & Anthony each performing with their own band and own set. The concert ran over two hours with each performing an hour and then a handful of songs at the end. Songs include many Broadway songs with a twist such as: Memory, Joanna, I Don't Care Much, Not A Day Goes By, Sunday, What I Did For Love, Origins of Love and many more. Also they did original songs, pop covers, and five songs from Rent. Nice video. A

SQUEALING: I have been looking for this for SO LONG! And the payoff is completely worth it. This is a fantastic video--the master wasn't listed, but the quality + (inoffensive) PETA ad + description make me think it's SunsetBlvd's. WORTH THE WAIT, SO MUCH.

NOTES: Extravagant concert of Takarazuka stars including our beloved Mizu of Der-Tod-in-2007 fame. So many of the songs are SO much fun. Trades as very limited, 3:1 ratio.

NOTES: HD streaming capture of a lovely concert featuring songs from movies and TV shows, mostly but not all romantic songs. Mark turns the charm up to twenty, and there's a really nice arrangement of (of all things) the Outlander theme song.

NOT MY NOTES: A concert (and interviews!) primarily featuring Sabrina. Some notable songs, particularly Rise Above from Spiderman Turn Off The Dark! Like what? Sabrina is wonderful and it's a fun concert.

NOTES: Pro-shot for TV of the 2005 BoM concert (musical numbers fully costumed and staged), also known as the year someone at BoM found the HEAVY drugs. They did not pay the performers nearly enough to wear those costumes for Copacabana; they chose On My Own to represent Les Mis; the organizers clearly paid $$$ to use POTO before realizing that Uwe would have to sing as Phantom and promptly cut its segment to about one verse of the title song;
the host embarrasses the audience; the program flows seamlessly, without pause from Circle of Life to Der letzte Tanz, and the editor of the OFFICIAL TV BROADCAST spends about 50% of "Sweet Transvestite" zoomed in on Felix Martin's crotch.

NOTES: [German/English; photosensitive seizure warning.] Lavish, full-scale numbers from a set of musicals performed by the same stars in rotation. The bad: includes Der Schuh des Manitus (a parody Western), so you get a clump of racist redface (that does not come across as parody) in VTS3. The good: literally everything else about this. Musical choices include Wicked, We Will Rock You, West Side Story, Tarzan, many more...video and sound quality are superb...and most importantly: this is your chance to see Willemijn in full costume as Killer Queen and Scaramouche. This is my favorite concert boot.

NOTES: Pretty cool video quality with an excellent cast. Sometimes mislabeled Best of Musical 2003.

Worth it especially to watch the emcee and audience collectively “WTF dude?” at #2 (and then to see Sabrina own it, of course). The point of these is to get people to throw popcorn at the TV when the wrong songs are chosen, so I participate: 2005 is before Wicked came to Germany, so I’m willing to forgive that Defying Gravity isn’t #1. Maybe.

NOTES: This came to me as “songs by Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay” (of Elisabeth, Rebecca, Mozart! renown), but I am fairly certain they did not write Lion King, Tanz der Vampire, or Starlight Express. Nevertheless, it’s the correct cast, plenty of K&L, and an amazing concert. I love Matthias’ Die unstillbare Gier. Pia hits and holds the high note (you know what song) a very, very long time. Fantastic sound and beautiful close-ups.

NOTES: Genderswap concert with a great song set, played completely straight (not like Miscast). The women win the night by far, especially Sabrina and Robert's "Die Schatten werden länger" to their 3-part arrangement of "Heut' ist der Tag" (3 Musketeers). And it will leave you spamming Stage Entertainment to give us a Gräfin von Krolock already!

MY NOTES: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

NOTES: [English and German.] Fully-performed sets of songs from a series of musicals (blocking, dancing, backup dancers and singers, etc) or pop numbers (unless someone made a Metallica jukebox musical while I wasn't looking...) Excellent sound quality and very nice video shot from the mezzanine or balcony. This IS a four-DVD worth, 16.6GB show, to be clear. Traded as limited, 2:1, but worth it for the Rocky Horror segment alone. Remember what I said about costumes? And staging? And...everything? Like I said: WORTH IT.

NOT MY NOTES: Over 150 minutes of highlights from the great horror or scary musical successes through to the grand finale with loads of rock, pop and soul numbers that deal with death, hell, devil, blood, zombies or monsters . Look forward to a musical roller coaster ride with lots of surprises.

MY NOTES: I'm not quite sure what this concert was/was supposed to be, as an overall whole. It's pretty choppy, conceptually. The orchestra is nice. Willemijn sings "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina" (in English) and does a lovely job. A choir sings "Seasons of Love" and...oof, the soloists...not so much.

NOTES: Cast of musical (Elisabeth) meets cast of opera (Carmen), and the rest is history...and a messed up VOB1, but if you skip ahead a little, it plays fine.

MASTER'S NOTES: Well filmed camshot of the tour. There is some occasional obstruction from a bar in front of the camera, but this is really only visible when the shot is zoomed out to capture action in the audience. Video includes bows and encores as well. Includes songs from a wide ranging variety of musicals in both English and German with some favorites from Tanz der Vampire and Elisabeth being performed in English as opposed to the original German.

NOTES: I, personally, would not use a "family festival" to advertise Rudolf: Mayerling Affaire, but you do you, European musical theatre. Really nice to have a proshot of a concert with a great cast.

NOTES: Incredible capture of a fun, fun outdoor concert with a top-flight cast. The audio on this one is clear, the crowd is not overwhelming, there are some great song selections. I will never get enough of Pia changing Defying Gravity's "ungebunden und allein" to "Ich gehör nur mir allein."

NOTES: Sometimes labeled a proshot, sometimes "almost as good as a proshot." Regardless: I didn't used to be a particularly big fan of Patrick Stanke, but if he keeps randomly wearing lederhosen at concerts and playing Rudolf in Die Schatten werden länger...I could be convinced otherwise. This is a great show!

NOTES: The quality is great and this is close to my dream German musical cast, yes, yes, move on to the important part...this is the one where WILLEMIJN, SABRINA, AND PIA sing "IT'S RAINING MEN."

NOTES: The Cologne symphony orchestra plays pop hits (Alicia Keyes and such), aided by Serkan Kaya, Judith Lefeber (original German Aida!), and a few others. This is pretty fun!

NOT MY NOTES: Musical gala in honor of the re-opening of the Raimund Theater.

NOTES: Not the show itself, but a small, more intimiate-venue concert. Starting off with Robbie Williams' "Let Me Entertain You" is a nice touch. Great quality video and sound.

MASTER'S NOTES: Full show. Nice HD capture with one major blackout (15 seconds) in act one due to latecomers and some short blackouts because of the women in front of me (see below). Very steady filming with beautiful close-ups! The concert was supposed to be 1h each act, although it only was 45 minutes (90 minutes in total).
One little appeal about the concert or rather the audience from the balcony: It was sometimes really outrageously how some people of the audience behaved during the concert. People filming with bright phone displays, photos taken with flash light and talking (fangirling) about the songs. In act two the displays and photo flash was so bright that I thought it was a spotlight or something like that. I have never experience anything like this at a musical concert! It must have been very irritating for Willemijn as well (and artists in general) when singing/being on stage, I know other artists who would have stopped singing because of that. The greatest respect to WV for going on and doing "her thing".
Besides, the women in front of me thought it would be a nice idea to comment everything Willemijn did on stage with talking and sticking their heads together all the time. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO TALK DURING A SHOW? Well, it's "only" a concert, but it's so annoying. For everyone.
Sorry, I was feeling really mad about it. And I still do.
